Beer Wiki

The Anderson Valley Brewing Company is a craft brewery based in Boonville, California. At its founding in 1987, it was one of just 20 craft breweries in the United States. They have since increased production from 10 barrels in the back of the Buckhorn Saloon to 40,000 barrels in 2011.

The odd "Bahl Hornin'" language on each Anderson Valley bottle derives from "Bootling," a linguistic word game developed by the farmers of Anderson Valley in the early 20th century. To pass the time, they began to use self-developed terms. "Bahl Hornin'" in Bootling means "good drinking."
