Beirut is a drinking game in which the object of the game is to throw ping pong balls into cups of beer across a table. This is commonly referred to as beer pong. However, beer pong is actually a similar game played using paddles like in ping pong.
Although there are official World Series Beer Pong Rules, many people all over play with slight variations to rules. Establishments and houses that host the game refer to their version of the rules as "house rules."
The game is generally made up of two teams of two people. Each team has two balls and their overall goal is to get rid of all of the other team's cups first. Balls are shot through the air at cups that contain beer. If the ball lands in a cup, the opposing team must drink the beer.
