Beer Wiki

Brew York was founded in 2016 by friends Wayne Smith and Lee Grabham. Their approach to brewing is to produce the types of beers which they themselves would love to drink in can, keg and cask. Brew York craft beer is brewed in York, some in their original city centre brewhouse, and some in their state-of-the-art production facility in the Osbaldwick area of York. Brew York often experiments with ingredients and styles of beer and usually have at least 20 different fresh beers available.

Founders Wayne Smith and Lee Grabham met at a mutual friend’s stag do and soon began homebrewing together after sharing their love and passion for craft beer. Brew York was soon born in Wayne’s shed in 2013 and in 2016 a brewery with on-site tap room was built in York City Centre.

Core range[]

The range of Brew York beers have found inspiration in many ways whether it’s the rich and diverse surroundings of Yorkshire, a new hop or ingredient, a popular cocktail, or a dessert. Often inspiration will spark from pop culture, films, music, video games and wrestling. This creates an inventive mix of experimental flavours with titles referencing the inspiration using creative puns.
