The Bruery is a craft brewery based in Placentia, California, founded in 2008 by Patrick Rue. The company moniker is a play on the Rue family name. Its focus is on barrel-aged beers, with over 50 percent of its beers aged in wine or spirit barrels.

Due to its focus on aging and experimentation, many of The Bruery's beers are seasonal or one-off. Some of its signature seasonal beers include the "12 days of Christmas" series (the brewery is up to 7 Swans-a-Swimming as of 2014), the yearly anniversary ales, and Black Tuesday (a barrel-aged Imperial stout stout that hovers around 19% ABV).
